The workshop brings together scientists working on the common theme of protein-solid surface interactions from different perspectives, ranging from basic science to applications. It is organized in the framework of the FP6 European project PROSURF  ("Computational toolbox for protein-surface docking") aimed at developing strategies and codes to describe the interaction between inorganic surfaces and proteins.
